Neoadjuvant Therapy vs Adjuvant Therapy
Neoadjuvant therapy encompasses all treatments that are administered before the primary cancer treatment, such as chemotherapy, surgery or radiation to help reduce the size of a tumor or kill cancer cells that have spread. Adjuvant therapy encompasses treatments delivered after the primary treatment, to destroy remaining cancer cells.

What is Metastatic Cancer?
When cancer spreads to another part of the body, it is called metastasis. Cancer cells break away from where they began (the primary tumor) and travel through the lymph system or blood.
- Lymph system: The cancer gets into the lymph system, travels through the lymph vessels, and forms a tumor (metastatic tumor) in another part of the body.
- Blood: The cancer gets into the blood, travels through the blood vessels, and forms a tumor (metastatic tumor) in another part of the body.
Complete Medical Examination
- We conduct a comprehensive laboratory examination, which includes selected tumor markers.
- We perform an aspirated biopsy if deemed necessary.
